Choosing a therapist is a very personal and serious decision. Every person is unique, meaning everybody’s journey will look different, but we all have the capacity to heal so long as we have the desire. As a psychotherapist, I work with my clients to create a treatment plan that honors the individual they are and supports their personal needs and desires. My methods of psychotherapy include combining various modalities, such as Brainspotting, EMDR and other somatic modalities that support the body’s innate wisdom to heal itself. Together, we will find our ways to the root of your pain, bringing you a greater sense of resolve and peace. Please feel free to contact me and we will work to see if I can be of service to you.
Areas of Expertise
Individual Counseling, Couple's Counseling, EMDR, Brainspotting, Trauma-Informed, Somatic Healing, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy & Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
It is common for human beings who experience trauma and life stressors to feel like their lives are unraveling. My passion is bringing healing to people who have been through a traumatic/stressful experience and also improve their lives. I enjoy working with adults of all ages. I am fluent in English and Portuguese. As a client-centered and trauma-informed therapist, I view the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative space and a vehicle for change.
I specialize in trauma-informed and mind-body therapies to alleviate stress and foster serenity. In working with me, people will learn how to integrate mental and physical wellness while understanding the impact of the past in our every day triggers.
I am trained in EMDR, Brainspotting and I utilize a variety of somatic techniques. I practice through the lens that the behaviors we choose in the present moment are adaptable skills of survival. If understanding them, we can change undesirable behaviors and improve our overall quality of life. I am really looking forward to learning about you.
